Bet on NCAABThe Boston University Terriers will go into Friday's matchup against the Kansas Jayhawks sporting the country's third-longest winning streak with 11 games. But can the No. 16 seed Boston make it through a twelfth win against the No. 1 seed in the Southwest Regional? Not many people think so, but the stage could be set for a second round upset.

The Terriers accumulated a respectable 21-13 record, as well as winning the American East Conference Tournament, coming back to win against Stony Brook last Saturday. Tonight's game against Kansas will be their first appearance in the NCAA tournament since 2002, and their seventh overall. Their record in the tournament is 2-6.

The Jayhawks, on the other hand, have the NCAA Tournament record for consecutive appearances. They have made it to the postseason every year for the past 22 years. This is their 10th time holding a top seed, and they have won the tournament title three times, in 1952, 1988, and 2008. Their regular season record was 32-2, as well as the seventh consecutive Big 12 regular season title, and earned their eighth straight Big 12 Tournament championship title.

The odds aren't even close on this game, with the sportsbook listing the Jayhawks as the 22.5 point favorites to win. The total is set at 136. The only real question is whether Kansas can cover the spread in this game. Despite the two teams never meeting before, everyone is already expecting Kansas to get the easy win and advance to the next round of the tournament.

While Boston University is not a team to roll over for the top seed, it is unlikely they will be able to match up against the superior skill and leadership of the Jayhawks. If the Terriers stay in the game for two halves, they will have earned a great deal more respect than is being given them right now. And everyone does still remember Kansas' stunning tournament loss last year, right?
