Bet on the NBAThe Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz have both been dealing with issues relating to trying to get into the playoffs. The 25-28 Blazers are three games out while the 27-26 Jazz is one out. Both teams will be trying to get a little further ahead in tonight's game at Portland's Rose Garden.
This is the second game that the two teams will have played each other in. Utah won the first game 93-89 back on January 30. These teams will face each other two more times this season after this game.
The Portland Trail Blazers have not won two or more games in a row since January. The Blazers are also 5-5 in their past ten games.
LaMarcus Aldridge had an elbow injury that kept him out of a game last week. He has since rebounded to play in 37 minutes of the Blazers' 119-106 win over Minnesota this past Sunday. Aldridge, who scored 26 points in that game, leads the team with 21.5 points per game. He is also close to Marcus Camby's 8.8 rebounds per game. Camby himself got 16 rebounds on Friday against Memphis.
The Utah Jazz had won six games in a row back in March but has since fallen with a three game losing streak. The latest game in this streak was a 105-96 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers this past Saturday.
Josh Howard suffered a knee injury a few weeks ago and has been out since March 20. Howard was getting 8.7 points per game. This has prompted Al Jefferson to do a little more for the team. Jefferson has 21.4 points per game back in March. This was punctuated by his 27 point and 16 rebound outing on Friday against Sacramento.
The Portland Trail Blazers have the advantage in the basketball betting odds primarily because the Blazers are the home team. The Blazers are only -2.5 favorites. The game also features a 197 over/under bet on the number of points to be scored. These teams will be trying to reach the playoffs, thus making this game all the more valuable.
