Bet on the NBAIt's game four tonight in Salt Lake City and it could be the final one played in this first round NBA matchup, if Utah does'nt find a way to turn things around from the results of the first three contests. You can watch the action on TNT at 8:00ET as the first half of a Monday night postseason doubleheader. The Grizzlies/Clippers play in the night cap.
The Jazz will be ready for a stong night cap of their own and it will be time for them to go fishing as Ernie, Charles, Kenny and Shaq will say, if they can't pull out a win in this one. San Antonio tied Chicago for the best record in the NBA regular season. They finished the year on a ten game winning streak.
The Bulls grabbed home court advantage throughout the playoffs off a tiebreaker. But with the Rose-less Bulls fighting for their postseason lives, the Spurs are in a position to take home court the rest of the way through. To this point, Utah appears to be no match for the highly skilled and disciplined Spurs, not to mention highly motivated, after last years first round departure at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies. San Antonio won game one in the series going away with a 106-91 win. Tony Parker starred in that one with 28 points and 8 assists.
It got worse for the Jazz in game two, this time falling by 31 points. Leading by 25 at the half, a couple of youngsters, Kawhi Leonard, a rookie and Danny Green combined for 30 points as San Antonio cruised to a 114-83 game two victory.
Game three was more of the same, with San Antonio coming out on top 102-90. Parker had 27 points in closing out this one. That song you'll probably be hearing after tonights game won't be the slimmed down Charles Barkley singing, but none other than the perennial "fat lady."
San Antonio is an 8 point road favorite in online betting odds on a $110/$100 moneyline. The same moneyline holds for the over/under of 199 total points.
