Bet on the NBA Thursday January 13th, the Orlando Magic travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder.
The Thunder has really picked up the pace over the last few games, thanks to Kevin Durant, who has become a force to be reckoned with. N the last game against the Grizzlies Durant was able to score a whopping 40 points in 41 minutes. If the Thunder wasn’t to make a serious bid for the championship this year they are going to have to push on Nenad Krstic. Nick Collison gets plenty of floor time but these two players are key to contain Howard, a man who was able to score 23 points and 13 rebounds in the victory over Dallas last week. The Thunder found themselves in a tough battle of their own last night against a feisty Houston squad. In a back and forth offensive game, Oklahoma City proved to be the more potent team by holding on for a 118-112 win.
Online Sportsbook lists the Orlando Magic as the one point favorites with the total over under at 205.
Orlando has spruced up their roster with some serious trades in December. They are now a real threat in the East, even more so than the Celtics or the Mavs. Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas are working out well especially in the perimiter scoring. Then there’s Hedo Turkoglu and J.J. Redick who are great with the spot up shooting and are going to cost the Thunder if they can’t rotate their defense properly. Stan Van Gundy’s team had its nine-game winning streak snapped last night in New Orleans. Down seven points with a minute left in the fourth quarter, Orlando found its range from behind the arc and sent the game to overtime. But the Hornets prevailed in the extra frame for a 92-89 win. The Magic vs. the Thunder will be a game of a strong offense vs. a solid defense. The game is guaranteed to be high scoring, and most definitely close, but when betting NBA basketball remember that the Thunder has two All-Stars, and the Magic has only one.
