Bet on the NBAThe team from Washington pays a visit to their current resident President Barack Obama's favorite team, Chicago, as the Wizards and Bulls tip it off tonight at 8:00ET in the United Center.
Washington is limping toward the seasons end, coming off a humiliating 103-65 defeat at the hands of the New York Knicks on Friday, followed by another loss to their equally lowly counterpart, Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday 98-89.
To add insult to injury, the Cavs recalled Luke Harangody from the NBA D-League so they could rest Antawn Jamison and Harangody wound up leading Cleveland in scoring and rebounding with 16 and 10 respectively against the woeful Wizards. John Wall had 19 points and Jordan Crawford 18 for Washington.
The Wizards bench could have stayed sitting, after an 0-8 showing from the field in the first half. Washington leads only the NBA's worst team in the standings, Charlotte, for the Eastern Conference bottom spot. They are 3-7 in their last 10 and 6-24 away from the nations capital.
The Bulls enter tonights affair coming off a surprisingly difficult win over the Detroit Pistons in the Motor City. They emerged victorious 100-94, but it took overtime and a Derrick Rose bloody lip to do it. The swollen lip was courtesy of Charlie Villanueva who was charged with a flagrant foul by the refs and some harsh words from Rose who did'nt appreciate the rough tactics.
Past that, DRose looked more like himself after struggling since coming back from missing 15 games the past month. He had shot only 23 percent against the Knicks in his first game back on April 8 and then had one of the worst performances of his basketball betting career last Thursday against Miami scoring just 2 points on 1 for 13 shooting. He scored 24 on Sunday, including a 3 pointer to send the game to OT and added 9 assists. Joakim Noah had a solid outing with 20 points and 17 rebounds.
The Bulls (46-14) continue to lead the East by 3.5 games over the Heat. They have beat the Wizards in seven straight. Chicago is a 13 point prohibitive home sportsbook favorite on a $110/$100 moneyline and another $110 will be needed to bet the over/under of 189.
