NBA Playoffs action turns to game seven action as Philadelphia and Orlando matchup against the NBA basketball odds. NBA Playoffs game seven action is a handicap of home court, momentum, and endurance to figure against the NBA basketball odds.
The big story of this NBA Playoffs series was that Orlando's top player, center Dwight Howard, was suspended for game six due to a technical foul incident in game five of the series in which he threw a flagrant elbow at Samuel Dalembert of the 76ers while fighting for rebound position. Howard had 14 technicals during the regular season and has had 2 so far in the playoffs. Howard is the key for the Magic against the NBA basketball odds.
In the regular season Howard led the Magic with an average of 20.6-points per game. He also led in rebounds with an average of 13.8-per game. So far in the NBA Playoffs Howard has averaged 24.0-points per game and a whopping 15.8-rebounds per game for one of the most dominant performances so far in the NBA Playoffs. In game 5 Howard was phenomenal with 24 points and an astounding 24 rebounds in the Magic's 91-78 win and cover as 8.5-point home chalks.
Rashard Lewis has been another key to Orlando's success in the NBA Playoffs as he was averaging 17.2-points per game. The Magic covered the spread in just one out of their first five games in the NBA Playoffs and that has maintained a cold spell for them that dates back to the tail end of the regular season where they got the cash in just one of their final seven games prior to the NBA Playoffs.
The Philadelphia 76ers were given little chance for success in the NBA Playoffs but have been a tough fighting team that has given the Magic far more than they bargained for. Andre Iguodala has led Philly with 18.8-points per game while Andre Miller was averaging 16.3-points per game. Philadelphia was also cold at the end of the season with just one payoff in their final seven games but they have proven to be a good value in the playoffs as a team that was getting more than what was expected.
