NBA betting on Minnesota has been in the red while Cleveland has been one of the top values to bet on basketball with all season. The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the least appealing teams in all of NBA betting. Minnesota had an overall NBA betting record of just 20-48 straight up and 31-36-1 against the spread.
Minnesota has actually been a solid road team to bet on basketball with as they were a nice 21-12 against the spread.
The Wolves put together a modest 3-game NBA betting payoff streak from March 14-18 but before that it was quite ugly for Minnesota as they were on a bankroll busting NBA betting stretch from February 4 through March 13 in which they went 4-14 against the spread.
From February 27 through March 18 Minnesota was on a strong “under” run against the NBA betting board as they went under the total in 9 out of 11 games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers were the top team in the eastern conference as they jumped well ahead of the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic thanks to a 7-game straight up winning streak from March 7-19. Cleveland had an overall NBA betting record of 55-13 straight up and 42-26 against the spread.
Cleveland was one of the stronger favorites to bet on basketball with as they were 37-22 against the spread when laying points. Cleveland was also a strong NBA betting host with a mark of 23-9 against the spread at home.
Cleveland was becoming too hot of a NBA betting commodity, however, and began to become grossly over-valued as proven in a stretch from March 6-19 when they went 7-1 straight up but just 2-6 against the spread.
The Cavaliers have become one of the most popular and “public” teams in NBA betting and that may adversely affect their board value the rest of the way. Cleveland easily won and covered at Minnesota 93-70 as 10-point chalks on December 17 in the last meeting between the teams.
