NBA betting fans have gotten their best value from the Lakers on the road while the Warriors have been a good home team to bet on basketball with. The Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the hottest teams in NBA betting. Those who bet on basketball with LA got the cash in 7 out of 10 games from January 25 through February 11.
The Lakers are normally one of the worst values in all of NBA betting because of their immense popularity and “street cred” as a perennial NBA betting contender but they have more than held their own in road games this season with a mark of 14-10 against the spread.
LA was just 21-24-1 against the spread, however, as a NBA betting favorite. Kobe Bryant, as you would expect, has been the NBA betting key for the Lakers as he led the team in scoring with an average of 27.7 points per game. Not at all a ball hog, he also led LA in assists.
The Lakers had the number 1 ranked offensive team in NBA betting while ranking 20th overall on defense. The Golden State Warriors have been one of the most disappointing teams in NBA betting this season as they had a bet on basketball record of 19-35 straight up and 25-26 against the NBA betting board.
The Warriors have been an outstanding NBA betting value at home as they have a mark of 17-8-1 against the spread as a host. The Warriors also had the hot hand before the NBA all star break as they went undefeated against the spread in their final 6 games before the layoff.
The Warriors are similar to the Lakers in being an offensive oriented team as they ranked 2nd in the NBA on offense but 30th on defense. Stephen Jackson led the Warriors in scoring with an average of 20.5 points per game. He also led the team in assists while Andris Biedrins was the leading rebounder with a strong 11.8 per game.
