NBA basketball bets have been break even on Atlanta while Charlotte has been a surprise NBA betting value. The Atlanta Hawks would seem to be one of the best teams to make NBA basketball bets with as they had an overall NBA betting record of 35-25 straight up.
The Hawks did not retain a lot of value with their NBA basketball bets, however, as they were 29-28 against the spread. Atlanta was slightly above break even on the road with their NBA basketball bets as they were 17-15 against the spread.
Atlanta cooled off in the second half of February as they covered just one out of five games to end the month after the all star break. Joe Johnson has been the major reason for whatever success Atlanta has had with their NBA basketball bets as he led the Hawks in scoring with an average of 21.3 points per game.
He also led in assists with 6 per game. The Charlotte Bobcats were just 23-35 straight up but were a strong 33-25 with their NBA basketball bets. Charlotte was also a solid NBA betting host as they were 18-13 against the odds at home.
Charlotte also had their share of problems with NBA basketball bets after the all star break as they went 1-3 against the spread from February 20 through February 25. Charlotte has been a reliable “under” team with NBA basketball bets as they went over the total in just 24 out of 58 games.
A big reason why Charlotte's NBA basketball bets go under so often is that they ranked 30th overall on offense while ranking 6th overall on defense. Emeka Okafor led the Bobcats in scoring with an average of just 13.8 points per game but also led in rebounds with 10.7 per game.Atlanta won for those with NBA basketball bets on them against Charlotte on February 6 by a score of 102-97 as 1 point road dogs as the game went over the total of 179.
