Bet on the NBAThe Miami Heat finished with a 46-20 record and a strong lead for their division to get them the second spot in the East. They'll be taking on a strong threat in the 36-30 New York Knicks in the first round.

The series will start on Saturday and is expected to be tight between these teams. Miami won all three of its games against New York this season. Their last game was on April 15.

Miami's "Big Three" is averaging 67 points per game. This is about two-thirds of what Miami scores per game on average and Chris Bosh is considered the X-factor of this first round series. This includes 27.1 per game for LeBron James. James leads the team in several other categories including rebounds, assists and steals per game and even has a 53.1% field goal percentage.

Dwayne Wade, one of the three top players for the Heat, will be able to start in the series. He missed the last four games with a finger injury. Wade has 22.1 points per game.

The New York Knicks went from uncertainty in the NBA betting odds to a playoff spot this season. The Knicks changed coaches midway through the season and also dealt with injuries to Jeremy Lin and Amare Stoudemire and still reached the seventh spot in the playoffs. Stoudemire is healthy again and has been getting 17.5 points per game. Lin, who has 6.2 assists per game, is not expected to return until the conference semifinals at the earliest. This is provided that the Knicks win the series.

Carmelo Anthony has 22.6 points per game and Iman Shumpert has become a new starter for the team and will keep on starting as Stoudemire continues to come back and Lin is still out. Shumpert is close to getting two steals per game and also nearing the double digit mark for scoring in each game as his services have become more necessary in recent weeks.

The Miami Heat has the best odds to win the NBA title. They have 21/10 odds to win. The Knicks have 30/1 odds.
