Bet on the NBAThe Thunder rumbles into "Big D" tonight to tip it off against the Mavericks in game three of this NBA quarter finals series at American Airlines Arena in Dallas. Gametime is approximately 9:30ET and you can see it as the second half of a TNT doubleheader following game three of Miami and New York.
Oklahoma City held onto home court advantage with two close wins on Saturday and Monday in Chesapeake Energy Arena. In the series opener, Kevin Durant assumed the hero role by hitting a top of the key jumper that bounced in with just 1.5 seconds displayed on the game clock to give the Thunder a 99-98 win.
Prior to his last second heroics, Durant had shown his usual solid effort and ended the game with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Russell Westbrook played Robin to Durant's Batman by leading the Thunder with 28 points in the contest. James Harden played well too, considering this was his first game back after receiving a celebratory elbow from Metta World Peace of the Lakers. There may have been some after effects though, as he turned the ball over 5 times. Dirk Nowitzki was his usual reliable self with 25 points for the Mavs.
On Monday, in game two, Harden played a key role for the Thunder. His four conversions from the charity stripe in the waning seconds was the difference in the Thunders 102-99 victory.
First game star, Kevin Durant made a solid contribution in this one too with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Over half his scoring (14 points) came from the free throw line. Westbrook continued to play well too with 29 points in this one. The Mavs Dirk Nowitzki was the games top scorer with 31 points.
After dropping the two contests in Oklahoma City by a combined 4 points, this is as close to a must win game at home for the Mavericks as you're going to get. With that in mind, Dallas has been installed as a 3.5 point favorite tonight on a $110/$100 moneyline, and you can click here for all the NBA odds tonight.
