The Bulls led early and never gave up the lead over four quarters of play, with Derrick Rose being a sportsbook fan favorite even on the road. Chants of “MVP! MVP” were heard during the game, and the Chicago guard is a likely bet to win the league MVP this year. The Bulls are putting together an impressive winning streak, this being their third straight. They have only lost one game in the previous eight.

It was a game after the first quarter, with the Bulls only up 25-20. But in the second quarter, Chicago started to pull away from the Wizards, going from 27-25 to 35-25 in the space of a few minutes. Just before halftime, Deng put away a three-pointer, giving the Bulls a 50-37 lead. By halftime, Chicago was up 13 points over the Wizards, who had little to offer in the way of an effective defense against the Bulls. A 19-6 run in the middle of the third quarter sealed the game for the Bulls, making the lead 78-54. At the beginning of the final quarter, the Bulls lead 78-57.

The Wizards have lost their last six games, and have only won twice in the last 17 matchups. Andray Blatche put up 15 points for Washington, while Nick Young had 14 points. The Bulls held the Wizards to a dismal 35.6% from the field. Washington rookie John Wall was shut down, putting in 9 points and going 3-for-14.
