Bet on the NBAThe Indiana Pacers are in a solid second place in the Central Division. Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards are just trying to keep from falling into last place in the Southeast Division. These two teams will be competing tonight in Indianapolis' Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Washington Wizards have been blasted by some outside sources in recent days. These include people who claim that the University of Kentucky men's basketball team, the top team in college basketball, could actually beat the 11-38 Wizards in a game. The Wizards are currently in a four game losing streak.
The Wizards recently acquired Nene off of Denver. Although Nene has had games with 21 and 22 points for the Wizards this month, he has been dealing with back problems. His status for this game is unclear. Nene has been getting 13.5 points per game this year, making him fourth on the team. John Wall is still on top with 17.1.
The 29-20 Indiana Pacers fell apart to New Jersey yesterday by a score of 100-84. This came after a 105-90 win over Miami on Monday. The Pacers have been very inconsistent throughout the past month with a 7-8 record.
Tyler Hansborough had a broken nose on Saturday and is playing with a protective mask. He is still coming off of the bench but has led all bench players on the Pacers with 9.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. The Pacers have been using the same starting five throughout much of the year with Danny Granger leading the way. Granger only scored five points against New Jersey the other day but he is still running on the hot side with 17.8 points per game.
Although the Pacers are looking to keep their playoff hopes up and to potentially move up in the rankings, the Wizards will be looking to try and show that they can compete and that they could technically beat the Wildcats. However, the Pacers have a -10 advantage over the Wizards in the NBA betting odds. The over/under is also at 193.
