Bet on the NBAThe crew from Brewtown makes a visit to the nations capital tonight as the Milwaukee Bucks tip it off against the Washington Wizards in the Verizon Center at 7:00ET.
The Bucks have enjoyed what is considered an extended vacation in this years hectic, condensed NBA schedule, by resting the past three days. Their hope is the sabbatical will springboard them into the Eastern Conference playoffs. They are trailing eighth place Philadelphia by 1.5 games, but just one in the loss column. They are 2.5 behind the Knicks for the seventh seed.
Going into their break, they suffered a disappointing loss to Indiana at home on Saturday 105-99. Roy Hibbert led everyone in points with 23 and 14 rebounds. Monte Ellis had 20 points to lead the Bucks and Brandon Jennings had a nice game with 16 points and 10 assists. The game may have been lost on the free throw line as both teams visited the charity stripe 26 times. Indiana made 24 while Milwaukee could only convert on 16. Milwaukee is 29-31 on the season and 14-16 on the road. However they have won 8 out of their last 9 road affairs.
Washington enters tonight contest off an impressive victory over the Chicago Bulls in the Windy City on Monday 87-84. Alright, it wasn't quite as impressive as it sounds, being that the Bulls were without both Derrick Rose and Luol Deng, their two best players. Still, a win's a win and Chicago is always a formidable opponent.
The 11 point comeback they made in the fourth quarter has to be considered impressive under any circumstances. They scored 13 points in a row, including three consecutive 3 pointers during the run.
As they say, the Wizards(15-36) are playing only for pride now as they are firmly entrenched in the second to last spot in the East. The well rested Bucks are an 8.5 sportsbook point road favorite at $110/$100. The same laydown of $110 will be required to bet the over/under of 204.5.
