Bet on the NBAIts a north / south, Central Division matchup as the representatives from Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bucks, travel down to Indiana to tip it off against the Pacers in Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indy at 7:00ET.
While geographically these two teams may be close, thats not the case in the standings. The Pacers have been playing great of late winning six straight and closing in on securing the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, The Bucks have fallen on hard times and fallen back 2.5 games from making the playoffs at all. They are just 1-4 in their last 5 games.
Milwaukees latest defeat came at the hands of the lowly Washington Wizards on Wednesday 121-112. The offense was there, with Monta Ellis scoring 31, Brandon Jennings 25 and even veteran journeyman Drew Gooden netting 21. The Bucks on defense? Not so much. Jordan Crawford had a year high 32 points against them. John Wall, Kevin Seraphin and Nene each had 14. Wall also contributed 10 assists.
As mentioned earlier, the Bucks are now in ninth place, 2.5 games back of Philly for the last spot in the playoffs with time running out. Their overall record is 29-32 and they are 14-17 away from Brewtown.
Indiana is 10-1 thus far in April. They are looking for their seventh straight victory tonight. Much of their recent success has come against non playoff competition. However, they did tonight's opponent a favor by defeating the aforementioned Philadelphia 76'ers 102-97 on Tuesday in Philly, to at least keep the Bucks within striking distance.
In that one, Danny Granger scored 24 and Roy Hibbert had 15 points while grabbing 13 boards. The Pacers won this one from long distance shooting 13 of 24 from beyond the arc, with Granger going 6 for 8. Indiana's overall mark is 40-22 and they lead Atlanta by 3 games for the third playoff position. They are 21-8 in the Speedway City.
The Pacers are 5.5 point home favorites if you are willing to lay down $110 to win $100. Another wager of $110 will be necessary to bet the over/under of 205.5 total points.
