Basketball betting on the Jazz and Mavericks has not been fun lately as both teams have been in rough pro basketball betting stretches as of late. Basketball betting fans will see both of these teams in the playoffs and that assurance may be harming their pro basketball betting value down the stretch.
The Utah Jazz are one of the most consistent basketball betting commodities year in and year out. This was shaping up to be another solid pro basketball betting season with the Jazz but recently the music has turned sour.
Utah had a basketball betting record of 46-30 straight up and 37-39 against the spread. From March 11 through April 3 the Jazz went on a basketball betting run in which they lost 10 out of 12 games against the spread, which turned a profitable basketball betting season into the red.
Utah's strength is their 7th ranked offense that is led by Mehmet Okur, who is averaging 17.1 points per game. Deron Williams is another important piece of the Jazz offense as he was averaging 10.6 assists per game.
The Jazz have a mediocre defense that is ranked 17th. Utah has trended "over" both on the road and recently. The Jazz had a basketball betting mark of 20-16-1 over the total in road action and from March 25 through April 3 they went over the total in 5 out of 6 games.
The Dallas Mavericks have had a disappointing basketball betting season despite the fact that they will make the playoffs as the 8-seed in the western conference. Dallas had a pro basketball betting record of 45-31 straight up and 36-40 against the spread.
The Mavs have been a poor basketball betting value at home with a mark of 15-21 against the board while also going 21-15 over the total as a host. From March 17 through April 3 the Mavericks went into a basketball betting slump in which they lost 6 out of 9 games against the spread.
Dallas ranked 10th overall on offense and 15th overall on defense. Dirk Nowitzki has been a basketball betting asset all season for Dallas as he led the team in scoring with an average of 25.6 points per game, while also leading in rebounds with 8.3 per game.
