Basketball betting handicappers have their choice of a western conference contender against one of the worst teams in eastern conference NBA betting. The Houston Rockets have not been a great basketball betting value this season but have had good NBA betting success on the road.
The Rockets had an overall basketball betting record of 27-17 straight up and 20-24 against the NBA betting odds. The Rockets have been breaking even in away basketball betting action, however, with a mark of 12-12 against the spread. Houston has been a weak NBA betting favorite as they were 15-19 against the spread laying points.
In over/under basketball betting action the Rockers were 24-20 over the total including 15-9 over the number in away games. Houston’s offense was something of a basketball betting disappointment as it ranked just 19th overall in the league. The Rockets fared better on defense as they ranked 8th.
Yao Ming led Houston in scoring with an average of 19.6 points per game. He also led in rebounds with 9.5 per game. The New York Knicks have proven to be a better basketball betting value than one might originally believe. New York had a poor straight up record of just 18-25 but the Knicks were a solid 24-19 against the NBA betting odds.
Offense has been the main basketball betting asset for the Knicks as they ranked 6th overall in scoring. Defense has been the Knicks basketball betting weakness as they ranked a poor 27th overall on the league charts.
New York went on a good basketball betting stretch from January 8 through January 24 in which they got the cash in seven out of ten games. The Knicks have been a reliable dog this year as they were 18-13 against the number getting points.
Al Harrington led the Knicks in scoring with an average of 20.5 points per game. David Lee led in rebounds with 11.5 per game.
