Golf betting action for this event will take place at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida as Tiger Woods will be among the top favorites. Golf betting fans will recall that in last year’s event Tiger Woods won a thriller, beating Bart Bryant by a single stroke to take the title with a -10 for the entire golf betting event.
In his first golf betting event of the season in the CA Championship from Doral, Woods finished a respectable ninth in a tough field that was led by Phil Mickelson, who won a tight golf betting victory by a single stroke over Nick Watney, with Jim Furyk finishing third.
Since 2000 Tiger Woods has won this golf betting event a total of 5 times although last year was the first victory for him here since 2003. Woods won this event four straight years from 2000-2003. Vijay Singh was the winner in 2007.
Among those who have joined Woods in committing to this golf betting event are Nick Watney, who ranks third in the Fed Ex Cup Standings. Kenny Perry, who is fourth in the Fed Ex Cup golf betting standings has also committed to the event. Pat Perez, who ranks 7th in the overall Fed Ex Cup standings, will be on hand as well.
The top two players in the golf betting standings, Geoff Ogilvy and Phil Mickelson, have yet to commit. The Arnold Palmer Invitational has a total purse of $5.8 million and a winning share of $1,044,000. It is worth a total of 500 Fed Ex Cup points.
Arnold Palmer is still passionate about golf as he nears his 80th birthday and is thrilled with this year’s field as well as the tournament being scheduled so close to the upcoming Masters.
