They would include some of the biggest names in golf betting starting with first place Geoff Ogilvy, 2nd place Phil Mickelson, 9th place Dustin Johnson, and 10th place Steve Stricker. 8n out of the top 10 players on the official world golf ranking charts will be in the event.
Along with the aforementioned foursome they would include golf betting stars Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington, Vijay Singh, Robert Karlsson, Camilo Villegas and Henrik Stenson. This PGA Tour event includes 2009 tournament winners Ogilvy, Johnson, Mickelson, Michael Bradley and Retief Goosen.
Past golf betting winners of the Shell Houston open for this event include Johnson Wagner, Stuart Appleby, Singh, Fred Couples, and David Duval. Johnson is the defending champion of this golf betting event. The Redstone Golf Club is a par 72 course that is ranked 30th most difficult out of the 54 on the golf betting tour.
The most difficult hole is the 18th which always sets up for a climatic finish to the golf betting action. The 18th is a par 4/448 yard course that has a lake bordering the entire left side of the hole. It also has a large bunker along the left fairway. With the water on the left and a sand bunker on the right it makes for little margin for error.
