Golf betting fans should take note that Innisbrook is one of the favorite courses of players on the PGA tour and is always a first class golf championship event. Innisbrook has been a part of the golf betting tour since 2000 although this is the first year that Transitions will sponsor this particular golf championship event as they signed a four-year title sponsorship deal with the PGA.
Sean O’Hair is the defending champion of this golf betting event as he shot a -4 for the tournament last year, which was good for a 2-stroke golf betting advantage over John Senden, Ryuji Imada, George McNeil, Troy Matteson, Billy Mayfair, and Stewart Cink as there was a 6-way golf betting tie for second place.
It was the second consecutive time for Senden to finish the Innisbrook golf betting tournament in second place as he lost by a single stroke to Mark Calcavecchia in the 2007 version of this golf championship. The golf betting purse for this event is $5.4 million with the winning share expected to be $972,000.
The golf betting event will be worth 500 FedExCup points in the standings. Last year in this event, the key golf betting stats included an average score of 69.97 and an average driving distance of 270.5.
The first hole is considered the easiest as it is a 560 yard par 5 while the 16th hole is considered the toughest as it is a most intimidating par 4 at 460 yards. Water stretches and threatens the entire right side to make for a tremendous challenge. The 16th could very well be the hole that decides this golf betting event.
14 of the top 50 golfers in the world are expected to play at Innisbrook including Jim Furyk, Vijay Singh, Trevor Immelman, Adam Scott, and Kenny Perry. O’Hair, of course, will be on hand to defend his title, making for an excellent event with plenty of great wagering opportunities!
