Bet on GolfThe BMW PGA Championship gives you a great chance to bet on golf online. Taking place on May 26th and until May 29th, 2016 at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, the tourney will feature An Byeong-hun, Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Paul Casey.
Last year, An Byeong-hun shot the lowest score since the tournament joined the European Tour in 1972 with 21-under 267. The South Korean youth returns as the current champion this year. His dominance last season makes him a golf betting favorite. Byeong-hun’s 21-under finish gave him a six-stroke advantage over runners-up Thongchai Jaidee and Miguel Ángel Jiménez. This was a breakthrough occasion for the 24-year-old, what with it being his first European Tour win. His only other pro win was in August 2014 when he won the Rolex Trophy with a score of 19-under. Byeong-hun will certainly be looking forward to adding more victories to his track record in 2016 and what better place to do so than the tournament that brought him to the spotlight in the first place?
McIlroy won here in England with a 14-under. The 26-year-old has 12 career victories on the European Tour, including three in 2015. His most recent such win occurred at the DP World Tour Championship last November, where he shot a 21-under. McIlroy also has 11 PGA Tour wins in his career, four of which are major championships. He is ranked No. 3 in the world right behind Jason Day and Jordan Spieth – all of whom are safe proposition to bet on golf online.
Donald is a two-time, back-to-back champion at this event, winning in 2011 and 2012. His best score came in the latter year when he finished at 15-under. The English golfer has accrued 16 pro wins in his career including five PGA Tours and seven European Tours. Donald’s most recent won the Japan Tour’s Dunlop Phoenix in 2013, when he defended his title with a 14-under. Even if you don’t bet on golf online too often you have to give Donald his due.
Casey was the victor here in 2009, shooting a 17-under to capture the crown. He has captured three further European Tour wins since then and has 13 European Tour wins to his credit. Casey’s most recent European Tour win saw him conquer the KLM Open in 2014. Moreover, the 38-year-old also has one PGA Tour win in his career, nailing the Shell Houston Open title in 2009. He came close to bagging two additional PGA Tour wins last year, but lost in a playoff at the Northern Trust Open and the Travelers Championship. Golf Betting Tip: An Byeong-hun is the favorite to win this tournament for the second time in a row based on his 2015 performance.
